  • Heart-shaped Tea Bags

DIY Valentine’s Day gifts are usually inexpensive to create. If your girlfriend/wife is a tea lover, we’ve got the perfect present you can give her. You can create your own heart-shaped tea bags.

You’ll need: Coffee/tea filters, a thread, a pair of scissors, her favourite loose leaf tea, coloured sheets, a needle, a pencil and a teaspoon.

Take the tea filter and outline a heart on it with a pencil. Next, do a basic stitch along the heart outline, leaving a little open to fill the tea leaves. Once you’ve filled the tea leaves, stitch the remaining portion as well. Ensure it is completely sealed to prevent any tea leaves from falling out. Cut the heart out, and attach a thread with a coloured heart at the end (just like a normal tea bag). That’s it. Not only will this gift treat her to her favourite tea every morning but she is also going to remember you for this cute gesture.

  • Flour Hearts in the Grass

It’s Valentine’s Day, and you’re likely to plan a date night with BAE. Whether you’re doing dinner by the pool or a fun picnic lunch, this ‘hearts in the grass’ idea is super-cool. Though it’s not a gift idea, it makes for a cute surprise for your partner. All you need to do is cut out a heart on a piece of card paper which will work like a stencil.

Place the stencil on the grass, and sprinkle flour on the heart. Once you remove the card paper, you’ll see a perfect heart-shaped layer of flour on the grass. This romantic floor art is great for a date night. You can even create a pathway for him to reach you.

  • Secret Message in a Bottle

Boys, we know you love simple DIY Valentine’s Day gifts. Well, for something to be cute, it shouldn’t necessarily take hours to create.

If there’s something you want to tell your partner, write it down. It’s a cute proposal idea too.

You’ll need: a sheet of coloured paper, a rope string and a cork bottle, and some confetti (optional).

Pour your heart out on a sheet of paper, roll it up and tie it with a rope string. If it’s a proposal, you can even fasten it with a ring instead of a string. Throw this into the cork bottle, and add some confetti to make it look vibrant. Give it to BAE on V-day and she’s definitely going to be so curious to read what you’ve written for her.

Now that you know how to make DIY Valentine’s Day gifts, why don’t you get started? If you too have any cute gift ideas for him or her, we’d love to hear from you. It’s the month of love, let’s make it special, shall we?
