  9. 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
  10. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  11. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Cooking oil

For the Tawa Paneer Roll:

  1. 1 cup of wheat flour (you can mix in some maida for extra softness)
  2. Salt as per taste
  3. Oil or ghee for cooking

Instructions:

Step 1: Marinate the Paneer:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine curd, diced paneer, cumin powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, and 2 to 3 drops of lemon juice. Mix well to ensure the paneer is evenly coated.
  2. Allow the paneer to marinate for 15 to 20 minutes, allowing the flavours to meld together.

Step 2 : Prepare the Paneer Filling:

  1. Heat the pan on medium heat with one tablespoon of oil.
  2. Add finely chopped onions, salt and sauté until they turn golden brown.

3. Now add the chopped tomatoes until they soften and become pulpy.

4. Toss in the chopped bell peppers and cook for a couple of minutes until they slightly soften.

5. Now, add the marinated paneer mixture to the pan, lower the heat, and cook for another 4-5 minutes, allowing the flavours to meld together. After completing the cooking process, set it  aside.

Step 3: Prepare the Dough:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine wheat flour and salt.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of ghee or oil.
  3. Add water gradually and knead until a smooth, pliable dough forms.
  4. Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and roll them out into thin chapatis (flatbreads).

Step 4: Assemble the Rolls:

  1. Preheat a tawa (griddle) or non-stick pan over medium heat.
  2. Place one rolled-out chapati on the tawa and cook until bubbles start to appear on the surface.

3. Flip the chapati and cook the other side until light golden spots appear.

4. Remove the chapati from the tawa and place it on a clean surface.

5. Spoon some of the prepared paneer filling onto one side of the chapati.

6. Roll up the chapati tightly to create a roll.

7. If desired, secure the ends of the roll with a toothpick to prevent it from unwrapping.

8. Continue the process with the leftover dough and filling.

Serve:

  1. Once all the rolls are ready, you can serve them hot with green chutney, ketchup, or any sauce of your choice.
  2. Tawa Paneer Rolls make for a delicious snack or a light meal. Enjoy them with a cup of hot tea or your favourite beverage.

  2. If you are making these for school, office, or just want something quick, regular chapati works perfectly fine.
