With the festive season approaching, all of us are rushing around to get all things tip-top including ourselves! Afterall, not only our homes but even we need to glow and dazzle in all the festivities right?

With all the dusting & cleaning, our hands and especially our feet will suffer a lot of wrath of the dirt and dryness, leading to cracked heels and dark toes. What else is better than a relaxing pedicure in such times? But we know it is next to impossible to step out and invest 2-3 hours in getting your pedicure done when you’re already loaded with so much work. So here we are!

We have become your salon expert for a day and have curated a full-fledged DIY pedicure routine that can be done at the comfort of YOUR home! Yes, you read it right! All you need is a few tools and you’re sorted.

So without any ado, let’s get into it!

Step 1: Remove the Old Nailpolish

If your toes are coloured with some old nail paint of yours, make sure to get rid of them in the first step itself! Use a mild polish remover and use a cotton pad to swiftly remove the polish and get back your clear toes.

Step 2: Time to soak it

Who doesn’t like the fancy foot bath in the salon but if you have a small tub handy, it will go a long way! Fill the tub with warm water and add in some epsom salt and submerge your feet into it. Soak your feet for a good 15-20 minutes and once you are done soaking them, clean your cuticles and remove the dead skin from around your nails.

Step 3: Trimming & Filing

Start off with the nail clippers or cutters to cut your nails accordingly and use a filer to smoothen out the edges equally. Now use a pumice stone or a foot file to get rid of those rough heels by scrubbing off all the dead skin you might have.

Step 4: Massage & Relax

Once you’re left with clean toes and feet, take your time and give your feet a light and gentle massage to relax. (This is the most relaxing step, we swear!)

Step 5: Time to prep your toes for the polish

Now take a cotton pad and wipe off the extra product, if any, and begin with applying the base coat on your toe nails. Make sure to do it very patiently!

Step 6: Go ahead with the polish and top coat

Now apply the polish you love and don’t forget to seal it up with the top coat! Be very slow and patient through the process to get the best results.

And here you have your very pretty, clean, and relaxed feet painted in your favourite polish and that too, at home!

So this was a very easy and effective DIY pedicure at home that requires the least effort and will deliver the best results!

Do try it out and let us know how you liked it!
